Pianist and composer Alon Nechushtan has collaborated with jazz greats including William Parker, Don Byron, Donny McCaslin, Bob Moses, Ben Allison, John Ellis, Chris Cheek, Chris Speed, Mark Helias, Mark Dresser, Andrew Cyrile, Kenny Wollesen, Ben Goldberg, Daniel Carter, Ned Rothenberg, Robert Dick, Steve Swell, Dan Weiss, Francois Moutin, Bob Gulotti, John Lockwood, and Ken Filiano.

A resident of New York City, Alon has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Central Park Summer Stage, The Blue Note Jazz Club, and the Kennedy Center. His musical adventures have brought him to Yokohama, Manila, Sao-Paolo, Toronto, Montreal, and Tel Aviv.

Shay Salhov, an Israeli born saxophonist, received his B.M. from Berklee College of Music in 2002 and his M.M. from the Boston Conservatory in 2005.

Musicians that Shay performed and collaborated with on the East Coast include Ayelet Rose Gottlieb, Ziv Ravitz, Avishai Cohen, Ronen Itzik, Sebastian Noelle, Eric McPherson, and Warren Wolf.

In California, Shay has played with John Shifflett, Jason Lewis, John Donaldson, Stan Poplin, The Realistic Orchestra, Jeff Denson, Dahveed Behroozi, Wally Schnalle, and Eddie Mendenhall.

Shay has performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Don Quixote, Moe’s Alley, The Fillmore, Earth Day San Francisco, and many other Bay Area venues.

Bass player Joshua Thurston-Milgrom lived for twelve years in Chicago and three in Berlin before returning to his native Bay Area, performing along the way with luminaries such as Von Freeman, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Taylor Eigsti, and Yosvany Terry.

He’s a 17-year veteran of the Stanford Jazz Workshop faculty, and teaches at the Harker School in San Jose.

Drummer Colin McDaniel was born in Rochester, New York and grew up in Davis, California. In high school, Colin received the DownBeat Student Awards for Extended Composition, Jazz Group, and Outstanding Jazz Performance, the Sabian Outstanding Drummer Award at the Reno Jazz Festival, and the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award.

Colin was the drummer of the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet in 2010-2011, and studied with Gerald Clayton, Bob Mintzer, Justin Brown, Dayna Stephens, Erik Jekabson and Joe Gilman.

Colin has played with a Mads Tolling, Wayne Escoffery, Taylor Eigsti, Uri Caine, Ambrose Akinmusire, Reuben Rogers, Macy Gray, and David Murray.
