Alon Nechushtan and Talat hail from Israel, where they have absorbed it’s melting pot of styles within the vast Jewish Ouvre and created a “lively, horn and groove-heavy brand of jazz (Washington Post”). Dedicated to playing original music inspired by new interpretations of Klezmer, Middle Eastern grooves and North African Rhythms with both Ashkenaz and Serphardic influences represented, through Levantine-Mediterannean, Judeo spirituals, Nigunim and ‘Old School’ Piyyutim, Talat group often roams between the borders of Groove-Jazz and Folk, connecting the old and the new.

Alon Nechushtan and Talat have played many festivals around the globe including the Far East (China and Philippines), South America (Savassi, Rio and Sao-Paolo Klezmer Festival), North America (Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton), Europe (U.K and London Klezmer Festival), and the United States (Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center and Washington D.C Jewish Music Festivals).

Alon Nechushtan’s  Talat’s music has been featured in several movies, recordings and blogs including the Time Life Magazine (click here and scroll to 4:20″)
